When our intention and actions are not aligned, we are incongruent. The horse seeks congruency to connect, which makes the relationship safe.
Connection creates a bigger ‘herd’, which translates to greater safety from predators. The horse magnifies the incongruency until we notice it as a means to initiate connection.
When we change (align our internal and external state) to become congruent, we will see an impact on the horse’s behavior.
No horse experience is necessary.
My forthcoming book, "Horses Transforming Lives: From Innocence to Wisdom," illuminates the profound healing potential of equine therapy.
